JACL Chicago’s 80th Anniversary

Eighty years ago, JACL Chicago was formed to support the civil rights and livelihoods of people of Japanese ancestry who moved to Chicago after the closing of the WWII incarceration camps. To honor this legacy and look towards the future, we invite you to join JACL Chicago to celebrate 80 years of community building, education, and advocacy!

All proceeds will support our chapter’s ongoing work and programs including our longest-running program, the Kansha Project, to our newer programs like Intergenerational Conversations: Ripples of the Past and Camp Daikon social justice youth camp.

We are delighted to celebrate the evening at the New Furama Chinatown. In addition to remarks from JACL Chicago leaders, this event will feature a sit-down family style dinner, open bar, silent auction of member-curated gift baskets, and fabulous entertainment!

All sales are final and considered a donation to the organization. We are also looking for individuals and businesses to sponsor the event at various levels.
