A BIG Congratulations to Madeline S., a 6th Grader from Oscar Mayer Magnet School!
Madeline, a 6th grader from Oscar Mayer Magnet School, was awarded the Japanese American Legacy Award for her Junior Individual Exhibit on March 16. Her exhibit, titled: “An American Promise: Reforms in Japanese American Protests,” was recognized for her creativity in examining Japanese American History.
Her Junior Group exhibit for grades 6–8 was part of the 2026 Chicago Metro History Day Fair held at the Chicago History Museum. Schools throughout the metropolitan and suburban area of Chicago were represented.
