Throughout the Kansha Project, participants work in groups to record their experiences and impressions through use of video and photography, and use their footage to create a short media presentation that illustrates a theme that emerged during the program. These presentations are shown to the Chicago Japanese American community upon the participants’ return. The Culmination Event and the video project are intended to bring the Kansha Project full circle – the younger generation presenting their reflections on the opportunities provided to them by older generations.
